15th Anniversary Kids Fun Run!

DAY: Saturday, November 22, 2008
TIME: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Meet up Location: Philadelphia Convention Center Volunteer Registration Table, 12th and Arch Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19107

WHAT: Volunteers will set up, monitor and run the Kids Fun Run. This is the 15th anniversary of the Philadelphia Marathon and the fun run supports its mission to promote healthy kids and families here in Pennsylvania.

NOTES: Dress for weather, as we will be outdoors! Please don't forget your permission slip! Light Breakfast and a free Philadelphia Marathon hooded sweatshirt are provided IF you show up on time!!!

SEPTA DIRECTIONS:

Market-Frankford Line: Take the MFL to the Market East Station Stop. Walk out to 12th Street and walk north on 12th to 12th and Race. Enter building and ask for volunteer registration table.

Broad Street Line: Take the BSS to City Hall and transfer to the Market Frankord Line (the El) and follow the directions above.

Trolleys: You can take any of the green surface line trolleys (13, 11, 36, 34) who's destination is City Hall and get off at Juniper and 13th street and walk one block to 12th and then up to 12th and Race.

Buses: Take any bus whose destination is Penn’s Landing ( 33, 21, 42, etc.) and get off at 12th street and walk north on 12th to Race Street. You can also take the 23 to 11th and Race and walk one block to 12th.

Also you can take the regional rail to the Market East Station and follow the directions above.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
From Rte 76 (Schuylkill)
Take Rte 76 to Exit 344/I-676 East. Take I- 676 East and exit at Broad Street/Rte. 611 (2nd exit). You will be on Vine Street. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center to 12th Street (4 traffic lights). Make a right on to 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.

From Interstate 95 North/South
Take I-95 North to Exit 22 Central Philadelphia / I- 676. Stay in the left lane of this exit. Follow signs for I-676 West to the 1st exit (Broad Street). This exit brings you up to 15th Street. Get into left lane and follow the sign for 611/Broad Street and make a left turn on to Vine Street. Follow signs for Vine Street/PA Convention Center. Make a right on to 12th Street. The entrances to the Convention Center are located two blocks ahead at the NE and NW corners of 12th and Arch Streets.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Follow Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 20/I-476. Take I-476 South to Exit 57/I-76 Philadelphia. Follow Rte 76 directions above.
