TIME: 5:00 pm Friday to 8:00 am Saturday
PLACE: Overnight will be on Liacouras Walk, an enclosed section of Temple University's Campus. Friday night, we will meet at Johnson and Hardwick Hall, 2029 North Broad Street, Between Norris Street and Diamond Street.
WHAT: As many as two million children, teens, and young adults are trying to survive in the streets. What if you were one of them? Join BwB for our first ever Homelessness Awareness OVERNIGHT experience. Join us for an evening of discussions, activities, and service as we sleep out to raise awareness.
IMPORTANT NOTE - To participate in this project you must contact either Genisha Wallace (Genisha.Wallace@buildingwithbooks.org) or Joanna Lautenberger (215.772.2957) by THURSDAY, MAY 15 to receive an information packet. You must read your info packet and return your permission slip BY MONDAY MAY 19th. Due to the serious nature of this trip, no exceptions can be made for late registration.

Take I-95 North to Exit 22 (Central Philadelphia/I-676). Note: this is a LEFT lane exit. Follow 676 West to Broad Street Exit. Exit to the left lane and turn left on Vine Street. Follow I-76 East for 18 miles to Exit 38 (Central Philadelphia/East 676). Note: this is a LEFT lane exit. Proceed one-half mile to the Broad Street Exit. From the New Jersey Turnpike via Benjamin Franklin Bridge: Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 4; then follow Route 73 North one mile to Route 38 West. Follow Route 38 approximately six miles to cross Benjamin Franklin Bridge. From the bridge follow signs to Vine Street Local Traffic and proceed one mile to Broad Street. Turn left on Broad Street - 611 North - Follow North Broad past Montgomery Avenue until Norris st., which is 2 1/2 blocks past Temple University’s Liacouras Sports Center.
