BWB & PHILLY CARES DAY!

DAY: Saturday, October 18th
TIME: 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM
PLACE: Feltonville Intermediate School, 238 E Wyoming Ave. 19120

This Saturday join BwB for Philly Cares Day. You will be a part of a huge, citywide event that brings together thousands of volunteers to give Philly students attractive and more functional schools.

VOLUNTEERS WILL:
Apply fresh coats of paint!
refurbish libraries!
landscape green spaces!
restore playground equipment!
and much more…

Dress for Mess! We will be cleaning & painting. Please don't forget your permission slip! Lunch is provided.

SEPTA DIRECTIONS:
Market-Frankford Line: Take the MFL to the Margaret Orthodox Stop. At the Margaret Orthodox stop catch BUS 75 toward Wayne Junction Station. Disembark BUS 75 at the Wyoming Ave B Street stop. Walk 1 block on Wyoming Ave to the school. The school will be on your left!

Broad Street Line: Take the BSS to the BSL Hunting Park Stop. Catch BUS R heading toward the MFL Frankford Terminal. Disembark BUS R at the Rising Sun Ave/Ruscomb Street Stop. Walk 1 block East on Ruscomb Street. Turn Right and walk 5 blocks South on A Street. Turn Left on Wyoming Ave and you’ll see the school 1 block ahead on your left.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
ROUTE 1 & Roosevelt Blvd:
Take CITY AVE/US-1/CITY LINE AVE North
Take the exit toward WINGHOCKING STREET?NINTH STREET (0.2 mi)
Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto US-13 N/ROOSEVELT EXPY. Continue to follow ROOSEVELT EXPY (0.2 mi)
ROOSEVELT EXPY becomes W ROOSEVELT BLVD (0.3 mi)
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto W WYOMING AVE (0.8 mi)
End at 238 E Wyoming AVE Phila, PA 19120

OPTIONAL:
If you choose, breakfast is provided at the MANN MUSIC CENTER before Philly Cares Day. You are responsible for finding your own way from the Mann Center to Feltonville School. There is also a closing ceremony after the project that will include music and refreshments. Again, BwB will not be present at the opening and closing ceremony, so you must find your own way there.
