Books Through Bars

Pack books for justice!
DAY: Sunday, May 18th
TIME: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
PLACE: The A Space, 4722 Baltimore Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19143

WHAT: Books through Bars sends quality reading material to prisoners and encourages creative dialogue on the criminal justice system, thereby educating those living inside and outside of prison walls.

Volunteers will create packages of books to send to prisoners around the country. We respond anonymously to prisoner's letters that contain requests for books.

Lunch is provided! Please don't forget your permission slip! You must RSVP to attend this project because space is limited. Talk to your program coordinator for more information or contact Joanna Lautenberger at 610.608.9319 or Joanna.Lautenberger@buildingwithbooks.org.
