PHILABUNDANCE
DAY: Saturday, October 6
TIME: 1 PM - 4 PM
PLACE: 302 West Berks Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122

WHAT: Sort and pack food for the hungry!

WHY: Approx. 27% of food goes to waste each year in the US while MILLIONS of people go hungry! Philabundance works to end hunger and malnutrition in the Delaware Valley by rescuing surplus food and distributing it to local organizations serving people in need.Food is donated from local and national food companies/supermarkets/food drives, repackaged as needed, and then distributed to local organizations such as shelters, senior and youth centers, day care centers, drug and alcohol treatment programs, and AIDS programs.

SEPTA DIRECTIONS:
Broad Street Subway (orange line): Get off at the Cecil B. Moore stop. Transfer to the #3 bus toward MFL terminal. Get off at the corner of 3rd and Berks

Market-Frankford Line (blue line): Get off at the Berks stop. Transfer to the #3 bus toward 33rd St/Cecil B. Moore Ave. Get off at the corner of 3rd and Berks. You may also choose to walk three very long blocks from Front and Berks to Philabundance.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
From I-95 North, take I-676 (Vine Street Expressway) toward Central Philadelphia. Keep right toward Callowhill St. Take Callowhill and turn right onto N 5th St. Follow approximately 2 miles and turn left onto W Berks St.


From I-76, take I-676 to the 8th St exit. Turn left onto 7th Street north. After about 2 miles, turn right onto Berks St. and stop at the corner of W Berks and 3rd Street. Pull into the Philabundance parking lot.
