WHAT? Preparing breakfast for families at the House
Volunteers will prepare a homemade breakfast for the children and families at the House. After a long week in the hospital, families look forward to waking up for a hardy breakfast that may otherwise be skipped due to financial difficulties or time constraints. Volunteers will have to opportunity to interact with the families based on comfort levels.
The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House provides a much-needed home away from home for families whose children are receiving medical treatment for serious illness. They provide comfort, care, food, necessities, and support families need to get through such stressful times.

Via Broad Street Line (Orange) & Market Frankford Line (Blue):
Take the Broad Street/ Orange Line going towards City Hall/15th Street Stop. Transfer (FREE) to the Market-Frankfort/ Blue Line towards West Philadelphia. Get off at the 40th Street Stop which is at 40th & Market Street. Walk one block south to Chestnut Street and almost another block towards 39th Street. The RMHouse will be on the left between 40th Street and 38th Street.
Driving Directions:
Take 76 East to Exit # 345 (30th Street/Market Street.) exit. Turn right at first stop sign. Turn right at second traffic signal onto Market Street. Go straight to 40th Street. Turn left at 40th Street. For Front Entrance: Go one traffic light and turn left onto Chestnut Street. Green gate in the middle of the block on the left hand side is entrance. For Garage Entrance: Go one block and turn left onto Ludlow Street. The underground parking garage is on the right hand side in the middle of the block.
